Lifescape requests judicial review of the Biomass Strategy

As part of the Forest Litigation Collaborative, the Lifescape Project has filed proceedings against the Secretary of State for Energy, Security and Net Zero, seeking permission for judicial review of the UK government’s decision to publish the Biomass Strategy. The Strategy continues to promote the burning of wood as a form of renewable energy and we are deeply concerned about the ecological and climate impacts of the Strategy.

Information about the case can be found on the Forest Litigation Collaborative’s website as well as in the Independent, Euractiv and The Telegraph.
